CME/CE Collaboration and Joint Sponsorship
Industry-supported Continuing Medical Education/Continuing Education (CME/CE)-certified activities are a mainstay of medical education, providing value to both the medical community and the patients they serve. With increasing scrutiny by regulatory agencies, however, the landscape of providing such activities is changing dramatically. Conforming to guidelines of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Accreditation Council on Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), Office of the Inspector General (OIG), and Pharmaceutical Research and Management Association (PhRMA) — as well as those of other disciplines — requires vigilance, experience and dedication. With more than 15 years in the medical communications industry, principal Judy Tonkin has the intuition and skill to ensure the compliance and integrity of CME/CE activities.

As early as 1991, Judy worked as part of the management team of one of the first medical education companies to earn the designation of accredited CME provider. Later, working for an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)-accredited provider, Judy developed and implemented educational activities for pharmacists and nurses. In addition to CME/CE-certified activities, Judy has worked closely with physicians as they prepare manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals.

Today, Judy brings her diversified experience to Raspberry Communications. Whether consulting with organizations during the rigorous ACCME self-study and reaccreditation process or producing and joint-sponsoring CME activities with accredited providers, Raspberry Communications applies its knowledge to ensure excellence in medical education.
